Binding Flange

Surfing quilting blogs, as I often do, I came across this cool tutorial by Jaybird Quilts.
Someone had mentioned 'binding flange' to me recently, and I could hardly imagine what it was or how it would actually look on a quilt! Then I saw this - something to try sometime!
