Friday Night Sew-In

Last night was Friday Night Sew-In, and it was all about my Summer Sampler! First off, she needed to be basted, and thankfully, it was a lovely evening, which allowed me to baste yet another quilt on the deck!
And then, of course, it was on to quilting.
Spray out the bobbin case.
Wind a couple of bobbins with my new Aurifil thread.
Install a new needle.
Screw on that walking foot.
And begin.

Your quilt looks great. I didn't do the summer sampler blocks... yet.
Congrats on getting so much done last night.

Thanks for stopping in at my blog. I like how your Summer Sampler is shaping up. I seldom use solid color, but I sure like the simplicity and crispness of the colors against the white. You really focus on the block design. To answer your question, the block in the upper right of my quilt is something from Marcia Hohn or Around the block with Judy Hopkins. I tried looking for it, but with no luck. But it would be pretty simple to reproduce on your own. A rectangle with HST bottom, 9 patch and a plain patch. I believe the 9 patch was just over 3" unfinished. Hope it helps.

You had a very productive FNSI. What a bright, pretty quilt.
