Welcome to Giveaway Day! I'm so pleased you stopped by A Quilter's Table - thank you! We're in for a fun and busy week in quilt-blog land!

The giveaway I have to offer includes a book, Playful Patchwork: Happy, Colorful, and Irresistible Ideas and Instruction for Modern Piecework, Applique, and Quilting, by Suzuko Koseki and several charm packs from a variety of fabric eras.
To enter, just leave a comment on this post telling me about your proudest moment in the sewing room this year.   21. My proudest sewing moment was early this summer when I completed my first quilt for my oldest daughter. It was a test to find out if I really did like this quilting thing. Much to my surprise, I was hooked!

  33. I did my first block of the month with In Color Order and I must say it was really a great way to pace myself and who doesn't love actually having a finished project at the end :)

  37. My proudest moment would have to be when I finished my first (ever) quilt. I actually make a pair of Cat in the Hat quilts for my 1 yr old and 2 yr old. I had such a sense of accomplishment finally biting the bullet and taking the quilting journey. Now I can say, I'm a total quilting addict...having tons of projects on the horizon and several WIPs just waiting to be FOs!

  52. My proudest moment was organizing and sewing a group string quilt through a group blog I administer, and then donating it to a local charity, which thought it was so beautiful they used it as first prize in a fundraising raffle. thanks for the chance to win your great stuff!

  53. My proudest moment is when I was sewing gifts for my son's kindergarten teachers and he was drawing something on the other table. He showed me what he's done and it was a picture of me on my sewing machine with the title "I'm thankful for when my mom is sewing" Can't be prouder than that!

  70. The project that I am most proud of this year was the first quilt that I quilted with free motion. I had done practice ones, but not anything I cared about how it turned out. When I finally did it, it was a very proud moment! Thanks for offering this generous prize. I have enjoyed looking around here today!

  75. I started the quilt along with Pile O Fabric to do the Groove quilt. I got behind but I finally finished it. It Is awesome and I made the queen size so it is huge. But my curves are pretty good. Not perfect but then, only God is perfect so I am good with that.

  80. Oh my word - what a fantastic giveaway!! I have had a couple of proud sewing moments, but my most proud moment this year was my 7-year-old daughter telling me that she shared our family's beliefs about voting with her friends at school - she is a brave and faithful girl and it made me so proud.

  86. My proudest moment in my sewing room was when I finished a throw quilt for my Mom. I just started quilting this year, and after years and years of my Mom making me afghans, I was able to make her a blanket back. It was full of pink fabrics, her favorite color.

  87. I have two proud moments. I just started quilting 18 months ago and before that it had been years since I had touched a sewing machine. Last month I made my dad a Christmas tree quilt wiht his grandson's names on each ornament. I hand-stitched those ornaments and they turned out pretty good so that was one moment. The second was yesterday afternoon when I made a scarf out of voile and light flannel. I've only sewn on quilting cotton for the last 18 months and I just wasn't sure how the other fabrics would be to work with and they were great! Love the scarf!

  108. Recently I had my proudest moment when I successful tried Paper piecing for the first time!! I was so scared of it and then volunteered to pattern test and I loved it. I never thought I'd be able to figure it out on my own!

  109. Proudest moment was finishing up my QAYG quilt that measures around 75" x 75" and I quilted the entire thing on my tiny throat machine! I haven't posted about this quilt yet, but will some day, in the mean time we have been using the heck out of it!

  110. My proudest moment was just recently. My youngest son broke his collarbone and asked me if I could replace his boring blue sling. He gave me a hug and kiss and told me I was the best when I completed his cool Minnesota Vikings sling. It sure did make it less embarrassing at school.

  112. Wow, how crazy generous! My proudest moment thus far was piecing a (very simple, large pieces) toddler-sized quilt top in less than 2 hours. We'll not discuss if I've finished it all the way up or not though. :)

  113. Well, mine wasn't a moment, but an evolution. I started free motion quilting this year. My early efforts were okay, but things have gotten a lot better and it makes me really happy!

  145. My proudest moment was putting a hexigon quilt together I'd hand-pieced each hexagon using nottinghill range of fabrics and templates and many pieces for each one. Took me 12 months to make. Just need to quilt it.

  152. i'm halfway through handsewing a hex-along flimsy, about to be a quilt. i'm working from a picture of the fat quarterly pattern. worked in blues and purples, the field of hexie flowers will have a border of vines and hexie flowers and buds. this will check off two on my to do list, the hexies and handsewing.

  161. My proudest moment was making squares for a charity quilt. I love helping others and I was so worried that I would mess up, but after a couple of tries I was able to make the blocks properly and piece them properly. I do prim and folk art and making perfect quilts is an accomplishment for me, lol.

  186. My proudest moment in the sewing room was in March of this year. You see, my sewing room was all packed up when I moved from Michigan to New Hampshire. In March, a room in my basement was re-done to house my sewing room! It was like being back among old friends. I haven't stopped sewing since!
