Unwritten Postcards

So after announcing The Postcard Quilt Along, I had a few of you mention you'd like to sew along, but didn't have any text fabrics. Well, I made up a few 'blank' postcards, so you could see how great they'd look too!
I even did one with a raw-edge appliqued 'stamp'. If you choose to stamp your postcards, be sure to leave enough room in the corner for seam allowances.
Krista/Poppyprint reminded me about her Sweetheart Fabric Stamps tutorial, which would be a really sweet addition too!

If you're curious what folks have been making, check out the flickr group and the hashtag #thepostcardquiltalong on Instagram - fun progress showing up both places!

  4. I am so excited to start this. I was running through ideas for a gift for my Mother in law. I am going to have each of her grand kids actually fill out a post card block for her. SO there will be actual writing on them :)

  5. I am enjoying watching all the postcards blocks popping up, even though I will be away from my sewing machine for another month!

  6. I love these! This could be a fun and modern kind of signature block quilt as well, I think.

  7. I like the blank ones as well. This would be a cool shower gift, if people actually wrote on the cards a message, and then you turned it into a quilt!

  8. I love these too! I think it would be fun to use I Spy type novelty fabric for the "front" side and then these blank cards with writing to kids...encouragements or whatever.
