I'm ever so happy to report that in the flurry of selection/not chosen emails coming from the MQG regarding QuiltCon 2026 in Raleigh, I was notified that Ode to Joy had indeed been selected to hang at QuiltCon 2026. There were 2041 quilts submitted this year, and 470 quilts chosen for the show. So I'm feeling very, very fortunate.

Wow congrats!! It looks amazing. They all do... looking at Ode to Joy though it's that classic thing of how completely different the quilted, finished object is compared to watching each block come together separately. I can never fully picture a finished object till it's finished, and it's so great to remember that we don't have to be able to see the end in order to keep going and trust ourselves (and our group, in this situation). Big congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats is right! I love your black & white quilt. It’s so striking & fresh. What an honor. Great Christmas present. Laura
