Projects? What projects? After seeing Camille Roskelley's Swoonery post yesterday {see here}, I had but one choice. Put all the w.i.p.s aside and face reality. I want to make a Swoon quilt of my own. Here's block ONE.
And yes, that's Terrain. I have had my pairs set out for these blocks since last week. You know, waiting to finish up some of those w.i.p.s first. Whatever. Last night when I decided to dive in, I was so excited, I had to cover my eyes and have hubby pick which set to cut into first! (I'd like to say, "Just kidding," but I'm not.)
This is a fun pattern to put together - simple blocks come together to make a striking whole. Do be sure and check out Camille's post for some pure quilty beauty. No matter what fabric it's sewn with, Swoon is stunning.
I haven't seen a Swoon block yet that I haven't been in love with. Love yours, too! That Terrain is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am impatiently waiting for my Swoon pattern to arrive. I was thinking of using Terrain for mine, but I wasn't sure. You might have swayed me in that direction! It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny! I spent way too much time looking at swoon blocks on-line yesterday and thinking I NEED to do this. The Terrain fabric is a great idea! Can't wait to see how yours turn out!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful Debbie! You have me itching to do one too! Maybe soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope your weekend plans include "make more Swoon blocks"! I can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteOh it looks too hard...I would need my unpicker next to me. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
ReplyDeleteI love it!! can't wait to see the rest :o) I have done 2 so far and just love the block!!
ReplyDeleteYup! Her post killed me too :) Gotta love it :) I gotta figure out what fabrics to use- drat! Wanna dive in just like you- it's lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing good at resisting the Swoon, but after seeing this and all the others you've pinned I feel my resolve crumbling... I can't wait to see more of your blocks. Great choice in fabrics!
ReplyDeleteYou are not going to believe what I found yesterday, A Swoon pattern that my sister had given me back in May. So I think I will be Swooning some fabric very soon.
ReplyDeleteSo looking forward to seeing your Swoon quilt come along. As with Toni I am trying to resist. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely! I am awaiting my fabric to start this. I have my solid color already in cream, and have all the pieces cut from that that I'll need - now I just need my prints!
ReplyDeleteI've been so loving this pattern and have it on my "for sure to do" list! I just love all the blocks I've been seeing and this one you made is so pretty! Can't wait to see the rest!
