Making Headway

Ok, you might want to put your sunglasses on...

It's been a while since I've shared progress on my SMQG block of the month medallion quilt. For my 12 1/2" center block, I chose HoosierToni's Skinny Churn Dash. From there I added borders designed by the BOM team. They're all on our guild's website, if you're interested.

Anyway, I'm caught up through July. August's border was just posted, so plenty of hsts are in my future. Then there's just one more border before we start finishing our quilts. Sooo here's my medallion so far!
I'm trying to tame some of the brightness with the low-volume prints, but it's still pretty wild. Stay tuned!

    Hi Debbie! Your medallion quilt is going to be amazing! Very bright and sunny! Your quilts are usually ... I could say architectural (hmmm, my father is an architect), beautiful, modern designs and they have always very good colour harmony! I love your quilts and they always inspire me. I hope to learn from you to make less busy quilts. So I think you need one quilt with a colour storm! x Teje

    Ohh it looks amazing! Love those flying geese. I think the balance is good, the brightness shines without being overwhelming!

    It is bright for sure...and so much work going into it as well. It will brighten up the room wherever it goes.

    As bright as it is, I think all your fabric choices work well. This quilt is GORGEOUS!!! I love that flying geese border.

    "Wild" is good! These are my kinds of colors. You've done a bang-up job of picking the clear colors that make this smashing. When it's all done, I hope you have a bedroom where this happy quilt can be shown-off.
