It's time for another Giveaway Day from Sew, Mama, Sew! What a terrific way to get acquainted with lots of crafty bloggers, Instagram feeds, and facebook pages while entering all sorts of giveaways for sewing supplies and handmade items.
This year, I have two giveaways! First up is a fat-quarter bundle of Elizabeth Hartman's second fabric line, Pacific from Robert Kaufman Fabrics, which just happens to be inspired by the Pacific Northwest Coast. [Click here to see the second giveaway - two patterns by Yoshiko Jinzenji - on Instagram!]
For a chance to win, just leave a comment on this post sharing one quilting tutorial or pattern found online that you turn to again and again. The giveaway will close Sunday, December 11 at 5 p.m. PST, and I will announce a randomly chosen winner soon after.
***I am happy to ship internationally. Please include an email address in your comment if it is not accessible through your profile. If you win and I can't find your email easily, I won't hesitate to choose another winner.***
Thanks again for stopping by A Quilter's Table! You can also find me on Instagram, facebook, and Pinterest. Plus I publish a twice-monthly newsletter, The Scrap Basket, where I share inspiring quilt round-ups and other topics of interest from around the quilting and crafting community! Have a fun Giveaway Day, and thanks again for stopping by!

What a great giveaway! I have made and given away over 600 reusable shopping bags from the following quick & simple free pattern http://www.morsbags.com/get-involved/pattern-download-links/ They are great to wrap around presents, too, instead of wrapping paper! xx
ReplyDeleteI don't have the link anymore...but it is a pattern inspired by Granny Squares in crochet that is now a quilt pattern. So fun and quick.

ReplyDeleteFlourishing Palms (Linda Hungerford) has a great tutorial on how to make machine mitered corners on binding. You never have to worry about ending up with a seamed piece of binding at the corners. http://flourishingpalms.blogspot.com/2009/06/binding-tutorial_12.html

ReplyDeleteThere are quilts being made from Jelly Bars. They are easy to follow and does not take long to complete. You can buy the Jelly Bars as well as the Jelly Bar Book from the Fat Quarter Shop. They are usually lap-size quilts. I made one for me Mom and I am so happy with it. Thank you for being a part of the SMS Giveaway. We all want fabric and we all want to win fabric. Your fat quarter bundle will be appreciated as well as being used in a quilt. Wishing you Happy Holidays.

There are a couple of tutorials on how to machine bind a quilt and how to finish the binding without any weird interruptions in the fabric. Those are the two (other than clothing patterns) tutorials I turn to most.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to follow Splendid Thread and Lisa Bonegan's christmas quilt.
