This, the third in the Dropcloth Floral Stitches series, may have been my favorite so far.
It was a surprise when it arrived. IE. I hadn't seen this design shared anywhere and I still haven't!
As I've done with the others in the series, I used a double strand of #8 perle cotton throughout. With the flower petals and the greenery, I again chose a trio of threads, and alternated using them as I stitched.
For the border designs, I mixed things up and used a variety of threads as whim dictated. Something about this one was super fun; and honestly, I'm already anxious to stitch the next one when it comes next month.
The colors you used work so well with the background. Hooray for it being as fun to make as it is enjoyable to see! :)
ReplyDeleteThe color palette works really well! Makes me think of a pretty sunset walk!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Dropcloth too. I am so slow with my samplers but every time I pick on up it brings so much enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteoh good! I feel the same way. I hate to say I've done almost all of them (tho not the first subscription), so I'm always hoping to see a new one! ;-)
