In following along with the Let's Get Acquainted blog hop, Lori from adventures in fabric shared about her favorite quilting tool - "The Binding Tool".

I took the time to watch the video Lori shared, and kind of think this little tool will help me with joining those testy binding ends, hopefully achieving a smoother finish. Anyone else ever used it?
A shout-out to my daughter Rachel who blogs at Snippets of Sweetness. She's a member of the Seattle Modern Quilt Guild and two of her mini quilts will be displayed in their upcoming exhibition! Cool, huh?!

And on a foodie note, Pioneer Woman posted Grillin' Recipe Contest winner videos. Perfect timing for those of us in the U.S., with July 4 (Independence Day) right around the corner!
wow, that binding tool looks very interesting. I might have to look it up.
ReplyDeleteOh wow...I love that binding tool! I just watched the video =) I think I have an new wish list item!
ReplyDeleteI have that binding tool and i have never managed to get it to work right - but it's 100% operator error - my mom has one and loves it! I always do it while watching the video and end up doing everything upsidedown and backwards and mess it all up. One day I'll figure it out!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tidbits! I haven't really been following along with the event at Plum & June but I think I should!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Rachel!!
After reading about it on Lori's blog, I was thinking of getting one too. And that is great news about your daughter!
ReplyDeleteCool tools and bags there :o) Congrats to your daughter too!
ReplyDeleteA binding tool! What took them so long =P
ReplyDeleteWatched/helped our LQS owner use the binding tool. Once we figured it out, it was too slick!
ReplyDeleteI have the binding tool and I LOVE it. Before I got it last year, joining the binding was my least favorite part of making the entire quilt, but now it is super easy!
ReplyDeleteI will have to watch the video, thanks for the bits.
ReplyDeleteI just bought that binding tool but have not yet tried it!
