Tuesday at the Table
It kind of feels like the last 10 days or so vanished into thin air. The cold I told you about last week kept me down for a while, but there was at least one up-side. Though I didn't feel like doing much, reading felt pretty effortless, and I managed to make it clear through Delicious! which I really enjoyed. Now what?
Since my recent post about foodie books, your suggestions on what to read next have just kept on coming - thank you! I thought it might be helpful to have them listed in one place - for you and for me. So here they all are! I marked the ones I've read with an '*' . . . you can see I have plenty more to choose from!
I also recommend "My Berlin Kitchen" by Luisa Weiss (The Wednesday Chef). Absolutely beautiful book.
ReplyDeleteI read the French Twist trilogy by Sandra Byrd and really enjoyed it. Takes place in both Seattle and France. It's light-hearted.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a big list! I love your shoes BTW!
ReplyDeleteReading and kicking back a little is good. Hope you are feeling much better now. I really had fun reading Kitchen Confidential Anthony Bourdain...
ReplyDeleteGreat foodie list Debbie! I must admit that I have only read a few on this list - Like Water for Chocolate and Peaches for Monsieur le Curé: A Novel as well as the original Chocolate novel by Joanne Harris.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great list. I've read lots on here and have lots more on my wish list. Peter Mayle's My Life in Provence (there's a series) book was one of the first foodie books I read. I also enjoyed Under the Tuscan Sun. Did you read they one?
ReplyDeleteOh, there's also Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously [Julie Powell]
ReplyDeleteThanks for this list - i am going to enjoy working my way through this:)
