Fresh Sewing Day

Well today is kind of a special Fresh Sewing Day, as I have a quilt reveal happening over at Sew Sweetness as part of the Jaybird Quilts blog hop. So please, go check out Aurora - my version of Jaybird's Northern Lights pattern. I really did have a blast planning and creating this one. And it was one beautiful day when we took Aurora out for a photo shoot!

As far as other April sewing goes, I had the requisite bee blocks, including sample blocks for my month with the Always Bee Learning bee.
And there were just a few smaller projects to round out the month.
I also sewed up more than my share of zips.
And I finished up another couple of quilts! There was a Disappearing 9-Patch for my mom, which was great fun to photograph in her garden . . .
AND there was my entry in the #triangleQAL. Thoroughly enjoyed every step of this one!

Last but not least, I finally got around to posting a tutorial for angled matched binding, a technique I really enjoyed using again on Aurora.

So April was one very full month! Bring it on, May!

Linking up with Fresh Sewing Day at Lily's Quilts!

  10. Aurora is stunning!
I think I might need to make one of these, now that I already own the ruler! So how tricky was it to match up all of those zig zags?
