Well I'm still on target with the Triangle QAL hosted by The Sassy Quilter. I've gone from a stack of beautiful prints (Clover Sunshine-Cloudy by Alison Glass), added in some stash solids as I cut big 9" triangles . . .
And now have my rows pieced and overflowing the design wall.
I don't need to document how many time I used my seam ripper to get this far, do I?
Super vibrant fabrics and I love the results of your triangle fest! As usual you are inspirational,

Ahh I've become friendly with my seam ripper recently too!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't live with my unpicker! All part of the learning process I think! Love the triangles though!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I need to do this. There are just too many amazing projects and not enough time.
ReplyDeleteWell it's comforting to know you've had to rip out a few too. 😉 I started my first row piecing one triangle at a time with pretty good success. But I was curious as to why Paula suggested sewing them in pairs and then sewing them together. Figured it must be better than what I was doing. NOT!!!! For the life of me I could not figure out how to line the pairs up and ripped out my seam about 4 times, called it quits and went back to one at a time. You? And did you pin and press each seam as you went? I did, and felt like it took for.ever. I wondered if a more experienced quilter had any tips or shortcuts, if there are any, she'd be willing to share? 😄
ReplyDeleteVery lovely! I have had to rip out a bunch as well. Usually when I'm sewing pairs of triangles into pairs of pairs.
ReplyDeleteoh my seam ripper and I are best friends :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful!
Your colors are wonderful, and it looks great, so the seam ripper must have been worth it ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your progress Debbie.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love your color scheme for this triangle quilt! So rich and pretty!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if I am the only person that would be ripping , ripping, ripping to get them lined up correctly! That's why I haven't started one yet...

Me too with that seam ripper. I snapped a picture, had it sitting beside me, and still couldn't get it right. I have 4 more rows to go.
ReplyDeleteOh it looks great, I just love how bright and sunny it is! As long as you get there, it doesn't matter if you had to use that seam ripper a ton!
ReplyDeleteAlas triangle frequently unite me with my seam ripper!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I love those fabrics!
ReplyDeleteSeamripper time gets to go undocumented. The bright and cheeriness you have going here is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteSewing the rows together is most likely gonna give my seam ripper a big workout ... and, shhhh, we don't ever want to document the number! :-)) great fun colors!!
