#73 was obviously easy peasy, and I'm really happy with my tree block.
#74 got a switch-up, swapping the solid and print of the book's block. Fine by me. And I like that it reminds me of a Polaroid block tipped on its side.
I was thrilled with the bits of pink I found to pair with the Tula print for the last of the week's blocks. In fact I really enjoyed all 3 and think they will be great additions to my growing collection.
Now three-quarters of the way through the book . . . I'm feeling pretty good about that!
Linking up with Sew Sweetness.
These blocks are from Tula Pink's City Sampler: 100 Modern Quilt Blocks,

Sorry about the carpeting! Frustrating to be sure. The final outcome will be worth the wait. I spend a lot of time wondering about your stash! It must be crazy. I have really enjoyed following your progress and can't wait to see how it all looks when you pull it together. Thanks for chronicling it here.
ReplyDeleteI was at the book store last week and pulled this book off the shelf without realizing it was the one you were using for this project. I thought of you as I paged through the blocks. I put the book on my Christmas list. I love Tula Pink and books; the two together is fabulous. I enjoy seeing your blocks every week.
ReplyDeleteAh! You're killing that book's spine! ;) Love the little tree, and what happens when life forces us to get creative with what we have.
ReplyDeleteI love all your blocks, and admire your ingenuity to keep sewing on your projects with all your house in an uproar! But I have to admit that my favorite picture is that last one, of the over-stuffed book with all the quilt blocks tucked in. Lovely.

ReplyDeleteLove the tree block! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing is that book, filled to bursting with blocks. But you do know you'll never get it to lie flat agin :-)

Can't believe your book has popped apart yet. Hope the carpet thing gets worked out correctly too.
ReplyDeleteYou are moving right along!
ReplyDeleteI love that you're keeping the blocks in your book :) Good luck with the carpeting issue!
ReplyDeleteI think the book is a nice place to keep your blocks too. Looking great!
