This would be my living room stacked in my dining room . . . hoping to put it all back SOON!
The 7th annual Handmade Holidays sponsored by sew mama sew is underway! There are different categories every day - follow along for some holiday gift-giving ideas!
Giveaway Day has been announced! This is a super fun event - watch for more details!
It was very fun to see Grandma G/A Photo's Worth had made up a Special Occasion Clutch. This was only her second frame purse, so I was really thrilled she had an easy time of it.
Though my house is in a tizzy and my new studio space isn't organized at all, I've been able to sew just a bit on some pillow covers for my mom. Piecing is done, and I'm knee-deep in quilting, two of the patterns (including the one on the right) new to me and a tad challenging. Good think I didn't pack my seam ripper away, as quilting pattern #3 needed a do-over. Hope to be stuffing these this week end.
Since I don't have any finishes myself, I'll share a few flickr faves . . . there's plenty!
1. Handmade Autumn Swap ~received!, 2. Scrappy Stars, 3. Modern Spin, 4. Quiltmanufaktur Churn Dash Quilt Oktober 2013 1, 5. baby taali plus quilt, 6. Sparkling Diamonds quilt in DS Solids, 7. Typewriter mini quilt, 8. Briar Rose quilt top detail 2, 9. Untitled
Linking up with Really Random Thursday.
Wow! Really interesting randomness this week- love your favourites from Flick'r, and the astronaut sewing is space is something I need to explore some more. Good luck with the carpet layer!
ReplyDeleteLots of activity in your house! Thanks for the updates and the inspiration with the show and tell!
ReplyDeleteLove what you've done in your living room! Very modern look!
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for including my clutch! I couldn't/wouldn't have done it without you! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't envy your house mess, but I'm sure you'll find it all worth it in the end. Maybe we'll get 'after' pics, huh?
hang in there! It will be beautiful when it's all done. Ah giveaway day.... have to dream up something wonderful
ReplyDeleteOooh, can't wait to see those pillows! I hear ya about the seam ripper - I never let that thing out of my sight if I can help it!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I hope your house will soon be back to normal, although you do make the rest of us feel normal productivity wise this week ;)
ReplyDeleteNew floors are like having a new house, I hope the in between part is over soon. I too like the quilter in space, her hair especially.
ReplyDeleteThink how nice it will be : ) Enjoy your down time
ReplyDeleteLove the randomness and hope you get the house back to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteHey you have a wonky log cabin chair!!! Cool.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about giveaway day today, wondering if it was happening this year since the sew mama sew shop closed. I guess so!!!
I totally sympathise on the upheaval! Hope it's over for you soon :o)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing other stuff on quilting blogs. I'm sure your remodel will be pretty! All of your projects always are! :)
ReplyDeleteVery little sewing is possible during renos... Laying or replacing hardwood floors is tedious, dusty, and generally unpleasant while it happens but so worth it when it's done. Just had ours replaced after some water damage and we were without a kitchen for two weeks so I empathize. :-)
ReplyDeleteSeeing the difficulties of sewing in space, makes me not want to complain about the little challenge I encounter in getting quilt blocks done. I loved seeing this video.
ReplyDeleteHope your home renovation soon ends and that you can get back to your sewing room and sewing. Good for you for putting up with all the chaos!
