Studio Mystery Box

When Anna Graham @noodlehead531 posted that she was doing a studio clean out and offered some Studio Mystery Boxes on Insta the other day, I couldn't resist. I'm not totally sure what screamed out at me, but I always love Anna's fabric choices and her shop is my favorite for bag hardware, so I was pretty sure I'd be able to use whatever she sent. Well, the 10" x 6" x 6" box came last Friday, and just as Anna promised, it was full! Wanna see what was in it?!

Anna said that each box would contain some (if not all) of the following types of items:zippers
  • fabric
  • fabric scraps (each box has an approx. 1 lb. bag of pressed scraps)
  • webbing
  • cording
  • leather scraps, straps, zipper pulls
  • hardware
  • woven labels
I think I received all but the woven labels and zipper pulls. There were a couple of fat quarters of quilter's cotton.

Webbing.

Metal zipper and cording.

Bag hardware.

Almost 1/2 yard of Anna's Riverbend canvas, which I love. I'm trying to figure out what small bag I could make with it.

And a little over 1/2 yard of Alexia Marcel Abegg's mid-weight Vessel.

Then there were several bag zippers.

A good variety of leather.

And more bag hardware.

Two yards cording.

And more webbing.

And finally, a cute magnetic pin. There was also a sticker, but the photo came out blurry, so trust me on that.

Oh! And that bag of scraps was all color-coordinated and lovely. I look forward to making these into something(s)! I'm thinking they look so good together, I should use them all together, but we'll see.

Anyway, I'm not sure where I'll use most of these goodies, but I'm looking forward to finding out!

  1. What a fun surprise box. And those fabrics are really lovely together, I can see the pull toward figuring out a project to use them in together.
