2019 Finish-A-Long :: Q4 List

With fall here, it feels like we're racing towards the year's end, which is pretty hard to believe, don't you think? Among other things, it's time to create our Finish-A-Long Q4 lists. I'm going to go ahead and include most of my current wips, as I really don't know which one I want to focus on first! So not like me, but it is what it is.

1. First up is my Bee Sewcial Modular quilt, sadly a holdover from Q3. I've put the blocks up on the design wall a few different times, but still don't have a clue how to proceed. One of these days it'll come to me.

2. Then there is my meeting doodle quilt, which isn't very large at all (yet), but I'm really anxious to get back to it.

3. Oh and no list is complete without my Begonia quilt. Just a couple more rounds and this one will be ready to quilt.

4. And finally, there's my 2019 Summer Sampler! I have alot of work to do yet making setting blocks and piecing the top, but it's worth a try.

So that is very ambitious, I know, but it's what I have going on, and we'll see what I can accomplish in the next few months.

Linking up with the 2019 Finish-A-Long Q4 Link Up!

  1. It might feel strange to you, that you have no clue which project to prioritize but as I admire them all, I do not care (in the best way)... because I will love each and every one of them :) xo Melanie

    PS: Hope you have lots of fun!

  2. I admire you for challenging yourself to list your want-to-finish quilts, especially those that were on a previous list. I'd be kicking myself to the curb for not completing something! I definitely have a pieces of a quilt in process that are at the same stage as your Bee Sewcial Modular quilt. I've had mine on the design wall, and off again, at least three times. Yours is looking fantastic, in my opinion. Perhaps we need to swap projects so I can finish yours and you can finish mine! Ha, ha, ha. I agree that your meeting doodle quilt needs to be finished. Make that first on your list. It's looking so good! Enjoy working on all these. You continue to astound me with how much you manage to accomplish while working too! Hope your vacation to Europe isn't a too-distant memory by now. Hugs.

  3. good luck! they are all going to be fabulous

  4. Some quilts have to ripe and grow a bit like grapes and then sudenly they are perfectly sweet and ready. I also have some quilt blocks that stay in a bin for quite some time and then suddenly I know how to finish. And if that take 3 years it takes 3 years. No hurry.
    I definitely like your quilts. And I am so looking forward to seeing your summer sampler.
    Happy finishing,

  5. So many wonderful things on your list for this quarter. Good luck. I'll be especially curious to see how the black and white Bee Sewcial takes shape. The concept is giving me ideas.

  6. I like what Martina said about some quilts needing to ripen, 'for quite some time' then suddenly, 'they are perfectly sweet and ready'. Good call, I think she's onto it!
    And I agree with her, I'll stay tuned to enjoy the ripening.

  7. I absolutely love the use of the grid in the meeting doodle quilt. Following along on IG, I see you've already been quite productive on these projects. :-) Thank you for participating in the FAL, on behalf of the 2019 global FAL hosts.
