I was a tad surprised when I saw that Pantone had chosen Emerald as Color of the Year for 2013. {click link to read more} Generation Q had some interesting thoughts on the subject this morning.
Needless to say, I was pleased when daughter dear presented me with an official Pantone swatch so I know exactly what we're talking about here. I took it into my stash closet, and though I have a nice stack of greens, not many like this. Interesting indeed.
Yup, don't think I own anything in emerald, but apparently it's a trend already being seen (where?!)
ReplyDeleteI was a bit surprised about emerald being chosen, but I am thrilled. It's one of my favorite colors!
ReplyDeletehmmmm, not my color, for sure. I'll see if I can warm up to it over the year.
ReplyDeleteGreen of any sort is a colour I use veeeeery little. Maybe only second last to brown. I really liked the trend of orange last year!!
ReplyDeleteI love it, but have none in my stash. I wish I had more clothing in this color, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWell green is my favourite colour - I love it, but emerald? I'm not convinced.
ReplyDeleteI liked last years color better. Not a big fan of emerald. Now if it were lime green that would be a different story.
ReplyDeleteI definitely am a green person, but necessarily emerald.

I am going to have to look around for any fabric or other thing that colour, it is not my favourite, nor is it the colour of an emerald (that is a green that just makes me smile every time).
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of against anyone picking a colour of the year.....maybe I'm just crazy.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny to me how their shade of emerald just doesn't say "emerald" to me. It seems a little too tame for that title, somehow...
ReplyDeleteMy favourite colour is green and I really love the Emerald shade.
ReplyDeleteHmmm not my favourite colour by far. Not awful though, maybe in a good combination it would work for me....
