Blair, a fellow-member of the Seattle Modern Quilt Guild, just started a Friday series on things that inspire her. The first post is an interview with longarm-quilter Krista Withers, which I found very interesting. I think you will too.
Did you see that Katy/I'm a Ginger Monkey of Monkey Do has a new show on QNN? I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but it should be fun and informative, exactly what you can expect from Katy! Here's a link to her post about it.
And my friend Louise/I'm Feelin' Crafty, also from the SMQG, is participating in the latest round of Project Run and Play! The first challenge starts today!
So I'm wondering . . . have you met anyone 'new' through the "31 Inspiring Quilters" series? Who or what is inspiring you today?
I've just been peeking at the blog hop for the new book Vintage Quilt Revival. Inspired by the beautiful quilts and, as always, color!
ReplyDeleteI have been loving the Inspiring Quilters. All of them bar one I already have in my blog reader, so it seems we are inspired by the same people!
ReplyDeleteFor me it's pure inspiration just to read blogs again after a long, long break from everything quilting. All off a sudden ideas are flowing and I feel an immediate need to dust if my sewing room and get started on new projects. I haven't had a chance to pop by yet, but it sure sounds like a site to visit.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the eye-candy in this series, but at the moment I'm busy meeting all my new FAL-ers o.O
ReplyDeleteI am loving your series. Some of the folks are new and I am adding them to my reader as you go.
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying your series Debbie and have found a few new bloggers. With all the following I don't know how I'll keep up or get any sewing done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out! tomorrow is the big reveal day! I'm so nervous!!! :) Wombat Quilts has some interesting posts! I'm about to go back now and see what she has to say about paper piecing!
ReplyDeleteLoving the series, and yes, very inspired!
ReplyDeleteAs of today, January 15th, the halfway point, I can honestly say of the 15 so far, I was only familiar with 4 and of those 4, only 2 was I really familiar with. That being said, that is pretty amazing that I am able to "meet and be introduced to" so many talented quilters! Thank you Debbie, I am so enjoying this series.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed this series very much and added many new quilter's to my blog interests. I'll have to get up earlier to read them all! What was I thinking? I get so many ideas that after awhile I just need to refocus on what I truly love - and then I start reading again!
