Giveaway Day!

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for visiting!

It's time for another round of Giveaway Day, hosted by Sew, Mama, Sew! As usual, it's bound to be a fun few days hopping around social media, meeting new creative types, visiting old favorites, and entering giveaways along the way.

My giveaway is a fat-quarter bundle of neutral Cotton + Steel basics. As much as I love the beautiful saturated colors in the C+S collections, there's something special about these basics too, and I hope you like them as much as I do.

For a chance to win, just leave a comment on this post sharing about your own use of neutral fabrics. Do you incorporate alot of neutral or low-volume in your sewing, or do you shy away from it? Have you read a good post about it that you can share? What's your very favorite neutral? I'm curious about it all, so please share. For more chances, let me know that you follow A Quilter's Table, aquilterstable on Instagram, AQT on facebook, or are a subscriber to my newsletter, The Scrap Basket. That's alot of chances and you can connect to any of them over in the sidebar.

The giveaway will be open through Sunday, May 10, and I will email the randomly chosen winner on Monday. I am happy to ship internationally. Please include an email address in your comment if it is not accessible through your profile. If you win and I can't find your email easily, I won't hesitate to choose another winner. Due to the number of comments expected on this post, I may not be able to respond to you all. But I definitely appreciate your stopping by A Quilter's Table, and I hope you come again to join in my journey of quilting and sharing around the table.

  1. I'm trying to use more low volume prints as background fabric instead of just solid white always. And I love grey in a quilt it's so calming to the eye and plays nice with all the other colors. And I have the dream to use my 'Little Black Dress' for a quilt one day although the color palett is out of my comfort zone.
    Thanks for the giveaway:-) hildy@ebertzeder.de

  67. I love low volume prints! These c+s are some of my faves. Had they been released when I was working on my hexie quilt, they would have been incorporated into the low volume spaces.

  80. I love love love neutrals. And I think I might only quilt in them if I thought that was allowed. Right now, I'm experimenting with screen-printing over neutral quilt tops and loving it, so I have eight more neutral mini quilt tops in the works.

    ReplyDelete
  81. These are, indeed, some special neutrals! I read a book by Freddie Moran and Gwen Marston where Freddie talked about her neutral - red - which totally gave me permission to figure out what I prefer to use, no matter what the shade! So of course I've used the usual suspects, white, black, and grey ... but when I found a tan/beige natural flax at the local fabric store, I used that, too. I try to keep an open mind, but as a child of the 70s, I can't bear the thought of using brown. It's my only no-go when it comes to quilting and neutrals. :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. I really try never to use white in my quilts so low volume prints are a great solution!

  120. I love color! Bold saturated color, so most of my fabric choices are not neutral. But what is out there to better show off color than neutrals and low-volumes? Most of our quilting journeys are about pushing our limits, trying new things, and learning new techniques. I never plan to stay at the same level or repeat the same choices in pattern and/or color. I'm always onto the next thing, so low-volume and neutrals? Comin' for ya! ;)
