Cheryl/Meadow Mist Designs hosts an annual 'Best of' blog linky party, and I'm curious enough about my own stats to join in once again. Choosing to base my 'best' solely on reader views of blog posts, I'll count up from #5 to the most viewed post of 2024.
5. AQT + alphabet was created solely for fun and to try out Carolyn Friedlander's new Alphabet pattern.
4. The Cozy quilt project was popular overall, and I think folks were curious about how the The Cozy | Hemming was done.
3. The "Like, Totally" Quilt BOM was a hit from Day 1!
2. More about the Cozy - The Cozy | Stitching.
1. And the most viewed blogpost, not a quilt but the popular Hemingway Pouch designed by Kristina @centerstreetquilts.
Meanwhile, just for fun, here's also my Top Nine 2024 over on Instagram:
Top, l-r: a mini mini quilt made and gifted to me by @pennylanequilts; Side Chairs, a 2024 finish; Pineapple Upset, made in 2017 and reshared
Middle, l-r: my first block for November's #blockstudiescollective log cabin focus; Mini Plaid-ish crinkle shot; ColorScape, a 2024 finish
Bottom, l-r: Matchy-Matchy, a 2024 finish; our son's ordination in April @revkjeske; a few mini mini quilts dropped off at @freelittleartgalleryedmonds several weeks ago

So that's a wrap on the Best of 2024!
Fun, unique colors, techniques and quilts! I enjoyed seeing your top 9, too, Debbie--so colorful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Nancy!
DeleteIt's always fun to look back on the year, and as always, I look forward to the things ahead as well. :)
ReplyDeleteSo many awesome quilts, and that Hemingway pouch too. All are really pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteI sure love seeing these! What a good idea, to count reader views, especially when oftentimes readers don't comment. How fun to see so much interest in your Cozy quilt, which turned out so pretty. And that Hemingway Pouch. I think that was popular because of your beautiful fabric, and that uniquely angled zipper. It's great seeing you, your hubs and your son in your top nine. Such a proud time for mom and dad. Of course, all your creations are glorious. You have such a way with color, and it's apparent in your top nine. Well done Debbie!
ReplyDeleteYou had a wonderful year! (And I thank you for the inspiration for my latest start-and-finish, which I posted yesterday.)
ReplyDeleteI love all your work, and you've been an inspiration for me as far as improv quilting, but I have to tell you that I am totally in love with your Cozy quilt. It is wonderful! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary! That Cozy IS something unique and special, I know!! Happy NY!
DeleteWhat a great quilty year, Debbie! Best of luck for a wonderfully productive 2025.
