Zakka Style Sew-Along project #14: Water Bottle Holder {full post}
Tutorial for pieced binding - I've been meaning to write this for ages. So now the secret's out about how easy it really is!
Ongoing projects
4x5 Quilt - Just finished sewing the top together - whew! I wasn't going to put a border on this one, but once the framing was done, well it just needed it. And now it's bigger than I anticipated, and you know what that means - pieced back! Love them, but don't like making them, especially on larger projects, but oh well. That's what needs to happen next.
Baby quilt - I'm revisiting the Storytime Squares Quilt pattern that I made for 100 Quilts for Kids last year {here}. By Rae Hoekstra of made by RAE, I remember this being a fun little quilt to stitch up. I'm pleased to have found a couple of charm packs of Marmalade by Bonnie & Camille, which it just what a certain baby's mama ordered. I've got the layout settled, now just need to start sewing.

ReplyDeletep.s. I'm so with you on the pieced backs. Love how they look, don't love those loooooong seams!
ReplyDeleteLove the layout for the Marmalade charm packs. Such a gorgeous line and your design really shows the fabric off beautifully! Hope your motivation comes back soon!
ReplyDeleteMarmalade Squares is going to be very sweet! hee hee!
ReplyDeleteEven when you have an un-motivated week you still get a lot done! Your baby quilt idea looks great. I love that they added orange to this line!
ReplyDeleteI love that baby quilt! I may have to go investigate the pattern!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Hmm, you may just have given me some charm pack inspiration...
ReplyDeleteI love the little charm quilt - I'd forgotten about that pattern but it is SO sweet! Good luck with the pieced back - I love them, too, but so hate making them. It takes all the triumph out of finishing a quilt top, to know that you still have to piece the back!
ReplyDeleteFabulous baby quilt and thanks for the very helpful binding tute.
ReplyDeleteAck! Your binding tutorial is genius! I've never thought to do this before! Great WIPs, thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to stay motivated in the summer, isn't it? Love the marmalade baby quilt! That is such a cheery line of fabric - you did good to score some charm packs pre-release date!!
