I'm so close to being done with these City Sampler blocks, I can almost taste it! The first one for this week is a winner in my very full book! I didn't have enough Space Dust for the diagonal squares, but I think subbing some Acacia worked just fine.
Same with block #86 - similar but different, but I like mine just as well. And with this block, we've moved into the final section of the book - Haiku. In Tula's words, "[These] blocks are more about composition than about the shapes that compose them."
As for #87 - love it!
These blocks are from Tula Pink's City Sampler: 100 Modern Quilt Blocks, part of the City Sampler Quilt Along. I'll be linking up with Sew Sweetness.
You are so close to the finish- I bet you can almost smell it! I better get a hustle on and get mine quilted, cos I only made 70 blocks!
ReplyDeleteLove 87, but then, I love them all.
ReplyDeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteThe home stretch!!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed your journey through this book and I like your blocks better than the originals! I can't wait to see the plump finished book and the quilt to come!
ReplyDeleteYay, can't wait to seem them all done!
ReplyDeleteI actually had my copy of the book by my sewing machine AND I had the fabrics that I could find out. Alas, I was not happy with the fabrics I have in my hands, I have more stash here somewhere, but Heaven only knows where I put it. My life is in disarray!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove these blocks!
Please kick me in the behind to get me going!!!
The more I see the more I love these! That top block is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome!
