2016 Finish-A-Long :: Q1 List

I didn't have to think too hard about my Q1 FAL list as I have 2 quilts that I really want finished and behind me soon. Like before the month is out.

1. My SMQG BOM medallion quilt - the top is done.

And so is the back! I am about midway through the quilting. Can I get it done in time to share at our guild meeting this week? If not, I'll be very close!

2. FAITH Circle's November quilt. Officially I should have had this done in December, but Christmas happened, so I really want this one done by the end of January. Considering I'm up again for the February quilt, that's a good plan!

3. It's been over a year since I made my Brookfield Bag, and the thing is wearing out! It has served me good and well and I've gotten so many compliments on it. But it's time I make something new, and I've settled on noodlehead's Carkai Gatherer Crossbody Bag. I have everything required; just need to get sewing on it. (And there's leather involved!) I'm not 100% sure yet which fabrics I'm using, but Carkai will be in there somewhere.

4. Buoyed on by all the hoopla connected with the new year, new FAL and all, I've dug deep into my stash to pull out Polaroid blocks I swapped over 3 years ago! I have made one large quilt from my blocks, but I got SO MANY in the swap (over 200), that I still have plenty left for another project. My plan is to frame each Polaroid in the fashion of Yvonne/Quilting Jet Girl's On a Slope Block. I'm kind of excited to see how this goes.

So there. I think my list is doable. As always, time will tell!

By the way, in case you still have questions about the Finish-A-Long, Leanne/she can quilt posted answers to some questions. Feel free to leave a comment here if there's still something you're curious about. AND I finally got my FAL button code figured out, so you can grab that below if you like. So are you linked up already? The Q1 linky party will stay open until midnight EST, January 16. I'm off to link up now!
