Well, this is it! I've finished the final two blocks of the Mini Series Sew Along, and they were both time-consuming yet satisfying to make.
Curved Cabin was a unique take on a log cabin block, and to get that effect, the background 'rows' were thinner than the colored rows. Kinda cool, right?
And then... the final rainbow block. Tedious? A tad. And a little confusing to start, but once I got the hang of it, it was just sew, sew, sew. Marking each bow before stitching helped me a lot. Very fun.
Counting the bonus blocks - Chevron, Strings, and Bear Paw, I have 15 tiny-pieced blocks. Their fate remains to be seen, but I'm still thinking maybe small giftbags featuring each block. Time will tell!
Those gift bags will be precious! Gorgeous blocks, but too fiddly for my blood. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI really like the curve piecing effect that both of these final blocks created with their unique positioning. Congratulations on getting them all made and I hope you have fun using them in whatever their final project(s) end up being. :)
ReplyDeleteBig congratulations on finishing all these tiny pieced blocks. They are all so lovely! I am sure whatever you pick for their final life, will be awesome. xo
