For the Love of Solids - Done and shipped on Monday! Whew!
My 'large' project was very challenging (read: frustrating), but at its completion I was very pleased. And for my 'small' project, I made my first zippered pouch!
{see here if you missed the sneak peek of both projects}

100 Quilts for Kids Quilt Along - Storytime Squares quilt top is done and quilted. Binding is half sewn on. It's turning out really cute!

Cappuccino Bali Pop Quilt - Block-piecing continues, but I did get 12 blocks done (about 1/3 of the blocks). Finally moving ahead on this one!

Dead Simple Quilt Along with Lily's Quilts - Waiting for all my fabric to arrive - KONA wheat, sweet pea, olive, tan, lupine.
do.Good Stitches {a Charity Bee} - A Swoon block is in my future! Fabrics are chosen, now I just need to start cutting.
A personal staycation this week has given me a little extra time to spend in the sewing room and sort through my upcoming projects. Two are vying for 'next':
. . . a Swoon quilt of my own with Terrain. I've got this on the cutting board, pairing fabrics.
. . . and a wall hanging, I think, with the Shades of Grey pack I won a few months ago. I have a pattern in mind, and want just a splash of color. I ordered the Spearmint, thinking that was 'it'. Now that I have it, I've also found Curry and Zucchini in my stash, and am in a quandary. Thoughts?
That's it for now! Have a great week!
Upcoming projects
* Orange zip-pouch for mom.
* Wrenly HST quilt started in Katie's class.
* Stash quilt - zig zag quilt.
Block-a-palooza quilt along needs basted and quilted.
Let's go check out more w.i.p.s over at Freshly Pieced!
Your 100 Q for K is going to be precious! I think I like the spearmint the best, then the curry. Can't wait to see what your making.
ReplyDeleteI love the striped binding that's going on your 100 Quilts for Kids quilt. And I also think the spearmint looks great with the Shades of Gray pack. So excited to see which one you choose! :)
ReplyDeleteAll your projects look great! Love the stripey binding on your Storytime Squares. My vote goes for curry! But spearmint is close behind. I think either would look great!
ReplyDeleteYour Central Park quilt is gorgeous! I can't wait to see your quilts for kids quilt!! I like Curry the best out of the three.
ReplyDeleteWow! So much progress! I actually really like the spearmint, but I'm also drawn to the curry. But with the curry you run the risk of a Halloween-like quilt with the black/gray and orange. Maybe I just have Halloween on the brain though...
ReplyDeleteA Swoon quilt in Terrain? I can hardly stand it! That's going to be so awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! What a lot of great work! I'm loving the striped binding and that stack of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteok, Spearmint & Curry kind of came to a stand-off. Last minute email determines Spearmint the winner. Cutting has begun! (Thanks!)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the finish for the geese in the park. I am hoping to get to my kit for this soon. Seeing yours makes me want to go work on it right now :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with the shades of grey, one of my favourite lines! I am really liking that cappuccino quilt top too!
