I'd also like to show off the November quilt from the FAITH circle of do.Good Stitches! It's made up of 16 1/2" Modified Bento Box blocks, which were quartered and rotated throughout the quilt. Here's the blocks I sent in . . .

Debbie (Blue.Ridge.Girl on flickr) finished up this quilt, and the recipient was her teenage cousin who experienced a devastating spinal injury. I was really pleased to be a part of this quilt that will hopefully be a comfort and an encouragement.
I love your list about your mom - she sounds a wonderful woman, and the Bento box quilt is gorgeous. I really hope it helps the recipient.
