Tuesday at the Table

Hubby and I took full advantage of the beautiful sunny holiday weekend in the Pacific Northwest. We dined in a few restaurants we've been wanting to try, did some beer and wine tasting, enjoyed being out and about in the beauty that is our city, and even did a little quilt imagining and fabric shopping. Really can't beat a weekend like that.
In fact, I still feel a little overwhelmed by what we did and saw. Heading back to the office today, I'll be basking in a mood . . . the memory of a few really fantastic tastes . . . the awe of experiencing folks who bask in the joy of their craft and work hard sharing it with others . . . the surprise of seeing a 'quilt in the wild' so many places I look - it seems I just can't help it . . . and above all those unforgettable times of sharing over the table. And sure, I'll name the highlights - Domanico Cellars, essex, and Bill the Butcher (honest!). Our stops at these places gave us more than food and drink. We connected with people who really cared about their product, in fact found outright joy in being able to share something special with us. And each time, as we walked away, there was no doubt we had been fed.
